Praying Psalm 121 over Ukraine
We lift up our eyes to the hills.
From where does Ukraine’s help come?
Their help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth.
Lord, help Ukraine’s foot to not be moved;
He who keeps the people of Ukraine will not slumber.
Behold, he who keeps the Ukrainians
will neither slumber nor sleep.
Lord, be their keeper;
Lord, be the Ukrainian’s shade on your right hand.
May the sun not strike them by day,nor the moon by night.
Lord, please keep Ukraine from all evil;
please keep her life.
Lord, please will you keep
Ukraine’s going out and her coming in
from this time forth and forevermore.
Lord Jesus,
We thank you that because of death on the cross and resurrection to life we can be saved from our eternal enemy which is fear and death. Help all who are suffering today to trust in you Jesus to be their eternal rescuer. Lord Jesus, give all who are affected by this war peace and rest in you.
In your holy name Jesus, Amen.
