ICF wants to reach out to people in need and serve the community we live in. We are currently doing so in several different ways.
“..for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’” -Matthew 25:35-36
Following our Lord’s command to make disciples of all nations, we at ICF have deliberate evangelism and outreach opportunities.
We encourage all to recognise that they are witnesses wherever they are, in work, school, home, club, shop, gym.
On Monday nights we spend time at the Molos. Limassol, where we seek to have conversations with leisure strollers, leading to spiritual encounters and invitation to other ICF activities.
We also plan occasional events to share the love of God with the needy. (For example the elderly, the refugees, the poor at Christmas.)
Love Cupboard
The first Sunday of every month is what we call a “Love Cupboard Sunday” and is a time when we as church come together to bring food and other items for those in need. We want to share what we have with others who are lacking. In a time with a lot of financial struggle, we believe that we as a church have a responsibility to help and show the compassion of the Lord. If you would like to help; bring a whole bag or some items of groceries to church on Sunday or donate money directly to the Love Cupboard.WellspringWellspring is a ministry that has grown out of our church. Wellspring works for the support and restoration of individuals dealing with crises in their lives or are in vulnerable/at risk situations.
Refugee Work
Our church is actively involved in ministering to refugees in Cyprus. We go to Kofinou refugee camp once a month and meet with families there. We have painted fingernails and faces, drunk tea with the residents and listened to their stories. We have prayed for sick children and ministered to families that have need there. We distribute food monthly to 12-14 families in our community. We take bags of food to their homes and pray with them. We also distribute clothes as families have need.
